We can't believe it's over 4 years since we came here. Despite the rain we have had a relaxing break. We shopped 'till we dropped in Street and ate fish and chips in Lyme Regis. The Cottage is as lovely as ever. Clean, cofy and it feels like home from home. The pool has been lovely and Fiona so helpful when needed. Thankyou for the goodies, we will be back.

Well, what can we say......among breathtaking scenery, wonderful hospitality from our hosts here, this place is very special. Thank you Fiona for welcoming us to your amazingly lovely cottage, it is the perfect escape and so beautifully furnished, well stocked, with a very tasty hamper! The chutney and cheese was superb! A very memorable holiday and so delightful to explore the surrounding countryside. East & West coker are full of history and inspiration. Be sure to check out OSR Projects, we have heard sea shanties, seen morris dancers, eaten wild trout, explored the network of lanes and discovered myths and legends of smugglers dens, merchants and the legacy of this rich cultural place through its arts festival.

Wow! Since stumbling across your beautiful cottage online we've been so excited to arrive! It lives up to everything as described online, plus more! Huge thank you for the welcome hamper - after a long journey the milk especially was appreciated for a cuppa before popping to do a shop. The cleanliness is 5* and it is the most well equipped cottage we have ever stayed in! We have thoroughly enjoyed our week here and using the swimming pool and air hockey almost every day. Seeing Amelia ditch her swim vest on her 6th birthday was so lovely - she's gained so much confidence this week in the pool. Thank you so much for the sweet card and present for her too - how lovely!! Safe to say the kids don't want to leave but back to reality unfortunately - we're hoping we can make plans to come again though! A quick look through this visitor book and seeing the number of visitors that are visiting time and again is testament to this wonderful cottage, the pool and other facilities available, not least Fiona & Jason's brilliant welcome and hospitality. We planned this week away partly to celebrate Brian's 80th birthday but also to chill, relax and recharge the batteries. In every aspect we were not let down. We found swimming again after 5 years absence and elderly aches - legs did not let us down! Birthday dinner in The Helyar Arms (brilliant) whre 8 of the wider family had surprisingly turned up and a tea party at the cottage later. Fiona & Jason presented Brian with a card and bottle of champagne to assist the celebrations - so kind. I must say how invaluable the heated towel rail in the bathroom is! We love the area, the place and the people. Many thanks for everything.

What a perfect place to stay. Comfortable, clean, so child friendly and a great base for adventuring. We didn't stop. We're not sure whether the children or adults are more exhausted! We visited Monkey World, Lulworth Cove, Weymouth, Kingston Maurward and Ninesprings Park. And of course the beautiful pool and pool house is the jewel in the crown. We had a very happy 5 year old and a water averse toddler living his best splashy life. Thank you for everything Fiona & Jason.

We really appreciated being welcomed at the village Jubilee celebrations despite the pouring rain! We have had a busy week exploring Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove where we swam in the sea and got sunburned, Haynes Motor Museum, Nine Springs Country Park, Longleat Safari Park and Stonehenge! West Bay, really nice as was Lyme Regis, we too a ride onht train to Seaton, brilliant. 40 years ago as a courting couple we went to Weymouth so we had to revisit, it's changed a bit!

This is our 3rd or 4th time at Flo's Cottages, normally we stay in the little stable a well presented conversion ideal for a week for 2, this time we went for the main cottage and yet again , not disappointed, clean (very), just the right amount of space and the bedrooms are very spacious for the building, bathroom has the option of bath or shower and is very well presented . The rear garden is that of a walled garden with sit down area and well kept boarders, there's nothing bad to say about either of the 2 properties , so only the host to talk about , superb hosts, you won't see them much but that's because you won't need to call them , Fiona and Jason are always there if you require them but you won't, both holiday lets are well equipped in both the bathing areas and cooking areas, that's all i can say except ENJOY!

We don't want to leave! We've had such a wonderful time, it feels like we live here. Henry, aged 5, has had the best time in the pool. After having lessons since September, this week has really given him confidence. He can now swim lengths without armbands! After a busy start to the year with baby no. 3 due next month, The Cottage has been a proper "find" and just what we needed to finally take a few days to relax and destress! From the very much appreciated welcome basket to the luxurious and well equipped cottage itself, everything has been thought of to make this a home from home and more. Despite being a stone's throw from a big town like Yeovil, you wouldn't know it, so peaceful and tranquil - to the point that we were going to eat out one evening but chose to have meals back here just to enjoy that peace (we were blessed with great outdoor eating weather which helps!). Having the swimming pool is an amazing added bonus and helped our youngest daughter's confidence no end. We've had a wonderful fin-filled mini break. The childrens' swimming has come on leaps and bounds. We visited the Hive Cafe on a really windy day and had the best fish adn chips we've had in years. We loved teh Museum of Somerset at Taunton, the Fleet Air Arm Museum and the winding country lanes. We can highly recommend the pancakes at the Village Cafe too! Many thanks to Fiona & Jason for looking after us so well. We hope to be back soon!

We particularly appreciated the location of the property very tranquil and quiet. The pool was a great hit with our children aged 10 and 6.The cottage was very comfortable and tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Our 3rd stay at this little "piece of happiness" (Xmas w/e, summer week, now autumn w/e). The location is superb. The cottage is well appointed. The indoor heated pool again did wonders and we now have 4 and 6 year old grandaughters who can swim! Our hosts are welcoming and very accommodating. We did not explore the area (although there is much in the area and coast) as the cottage is everything you could want! Off now to visit the little cafe in teh village for breakfast - thankyou!

I loved the cottage! Every little detail was thought about. I mean you could literally turn up with a toothbrush and toothpaste and be able to survive your stay there. Lovely welcome gifts of bread and juice and cake (delicious) milk in the fridge and even bedtime stories for our twin boys! Fiona has really thought about every single little thing! We stumbled across some dvds and our boys now love 'a bugs life'. The swimming pool was a massive hit with our 3 year old twin boys, however after about 15 minutes they were pretty cold. The temperature could of been a couple of degrees warmer. We had a fab holiday and both said we had never felt so relaxed while being away (pretty hard with little ones generally) thanks for a lovely stay!

This is an absolute "gem". We first stayed for a pre Xmas w/e after doing a search for cottages with pools and are just enjoying another week in the summer. The location is within easy driving distance of the south Somerset coast ( West Bay, Lyme Regis, Weymouth.)

Very much enjoyed our stay at The Cottage. A real home from home with some extra touches such as the welcome pack containing some much appreciated local "goodies". Our grandson really enjoyed the swimming pool after returning from days out and we never needed to worry about sleepless nights as the comfortable beds were sure that this was never going to happen. If you want a quiet lovely place to stay this is for you. The heated pool was great the children loved it. Fiona the owner was very friendly and leaves a few goodies to start you off. The only down side I found dew to disabilities was the steps to go down to the cottage once you were down though it was great. We would definitely come again.

The property was quite unique in having such easy access to a beautiful indoor pool with changing and showering facilities. We also appreciated how secure the property was, with key code access gates and a very secure and private little garden. This is a big consideration with a little person in tow!
The beds and linen were of very good quality and we had everything we needed for a comfortable 'home from home'. When we arrived later than expected and were therefore late for our Sainsbury's delivery, it was very much appreciated when Fiona took delivery of our shopping bags and even put it all away for us!

We had a very relaxing time at this beautiful cottage. It was cosy and welcoming, with lots of lovely touches (eggs for breakfast, cake, wine). The beds were extremely comfortable and the kitchen was very well equipped. We didn't use the pool as we were out most of the time visiting family but it looked amazing - the photos don't do it justice! The cottage has a lovely small garden behind, which would be perfect for a BBQ in warm weather. Fiona and Jason were very friendly and welcoming hosts. I would recommend this place wholeheartedly for a peaceful break in a beautiful rural location, but with easy access to attractions, shops, walks and the Dorset coast. Thanks for having us! Ideal weekend away for some R&R. Jason and Fiona are very generous hosts - we felt very valued. FAB pool - a true luxury and lovely and warm. Out and about we enjoyed our trip to Weymouth and Portland. We at some authentic tapas in "La Casa Espagnola" in Weymouth. Nothe Harbour - highly recommend it. Dorchester is also worth a visit. The local pub - the Helyar Arms - is wonderful - friendly landlord and lady and the interior is stunning. Comfy beds & comfy sofa - what more can you ask for?!! Thank you so much.

We have loved staying in this beautiful cottage. So comfortable with everything we needed. Our hosts had thought of everything so we could relax and enjoy being away. Thoughtful touches everywhere - wine in the fridge, cake on the table and posh soap in the shower! Having use of such a gorgeous pool a few steps away was such a luxury and a great activity for our 10 month old daughter. We went to Monkey World - 45 mins away and Hive Beach - both really nice. Hive Beach cafe looked right onto the sea and served wonderful fish. We have loved staying here and hope to again - thank you Fiona & Jason for being such lovely, laidback hosts.

We had a fabulous time staying at this beautiful cottage. The location was private and quiet yet not too far for exploring the surrounding countryside and coasts. We loved having the heated pool practically on our doorstep and used it morning and afternoon every day. It was a big hit with our son. Hubby and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary and Fiona recommended Little Berwick House. We were not disappointed - the meals were exceptional and our son also enjoyed his evening being babysat by Gabriella - Fiona's daughter. He had a ball! We all slept so well in the very comfortable beds and appreciated the little touches of lovely homemade lemon drizzle cake, wine in the fridge, biscuits on our beds and lovely coffee and eggs. Very nice cottage. Comfortable and considerately set up, with the kitchen well stocked with essentials. Fiona and Jason were friendly and hospitable. The geese and chicken were very popular with our girls. The location was a good mix of quaintly rural village, with nice countryside walks, yet still very close to Yeovil for town amenities. Swimming pool (the main draw for us) looked perfect for those interested in exercising lengths, but temperature (28c) was a little too cold (in February) for our very little ones and unfortunately could only be heated very slowly (over days).

My job takes me and my mate around the country, so finding the right place to stay is essential. We always opt for self catering places over hotels as you have more freedom on what to do. However, finding the right place is always the challenge. Stumbling across this little gem of a place was perfect, The Cottage was a 'home from home' that provided all those creature comforts. I'm not one for words, but the photos on the website, don't do it justice. Whether you're staying in Yeovil for business or pleasure I would highly recommend staying at The Cottage. FYI- upon arrival we had a freshly baked lemon drizzle cake waiting in the kitchen - it's these little touches that makes The Cottage stand out from the other places we have stayed at. Our last minute break has been a magical holiday. The cottage really is a home from home. The children have played beautifully together in the cottage - with help from the box of toys. We devoured the cake in two days! We would recommend Hive Cafe at Burton Bradstock, Tamburino's for a family restaurant adn The Dinosaur Museum for a rainy afternoon. The swimming pool was one of the main reasons we chose to book the cottageand it didn't disappoint. We had a super weekend with your 2 your grandaughters of 5 and 3 years for pre Christmas celebrations. The girls absolutely loved your chickens (and their eggs), your tree swing outside the lounge window and most of all your enormous indoor pool which they used on every opportunity. The image of a just swimmer completing the whole length of the pool is priceless. We felt really cosseted by luxury and our visiting friends and family were totally envious. Hoping to return.

The pictures and profile don't do this place justice. It's absolutely fantastic and I would definitely recommend. It is a luxury cottage with high end amenities and above and beyond thoughtful and welcoming touches. Fiona is so lovely and we couldn't have wished for a better break. If you're looking for a relaxing escape, this is the place. Even the animals are welcoming!

We had a lovely time. Beautiful little cottage. Well decorated and finished to a high standard. We were met with some homemade Lemon Drizzle cake and some other goodies! It is an ideal location to explore Somerset or West Dorset, both beautiful areas.

This truly is like stepping inside the covers of a Country life magazine. Beautiful cottage with everything you could wish for for comfort and convenience. Comfy beds that you will not want to get out of, and so quiet. All modern appliances provided us with everything we needed for our stay. I booked this literally last minute for three nights, and wish we could have stayed longer. We were greeted with a selection of homemade goodies as well as wine and fresh eggs. We were unable to make use of the indoor pool even though it was tempting due to our schedule which was a shame. This really is a 4 star cottage, and exceeded our expectations. Close shops in Yeovil and for visiting nearby tourist attractions, or perfect for a quiet getaway in the country to escape and do nothing! If back this way in future, we will be staying here again. Stayed with my wife and two kids (8 & 12) for a week and loved the location for exploring the many attractions that are available locally. The cottage is amazing - outstanding attention to detail, very homely and nice to see high quality throughout for a change (furniture, bedding, appliances and even cutlery!), quite often costs are cut back on the little things that spoil the whole experience - not this time!. Swimming pool is a great feature and only a skip away from the front door. What impressed us most was the very warm and personal welcome we received - little things like fresh flowers and home made products make all the difference. We will definitely look to stay and again and would recommend highly.

The Cottage itself is beautiful - great standard of furnishings and decorated beautifully. There is a real attention to detail and lovely welcome pack to greet you (including home-made cake, marmalade and gin, as well as fresh eggs and wine to name but a few). There were fresh flowers too and even a copy of the T S Elliot poem about the village - the owners have taken real care with everything. The pool is only meters away - and is a great size and really clean. It is also in a beautiful building with wooden beams - nice to look at if you're doing back-stroke! The location is good - less than a minute down a country road but away from any noise. Still close to the town though so very accessible. I had day trips to Clarks Shopping Village in Street and also to Exeter, and they were easy drives. The owners are lovely and welcoming - thank you so much for a great few days. I'll be back!
